My sweet Super momma friend Brandy needed a mix-match work+play set to pack up and haul on business (and pleasure) to Ireland in a few weeks. Because she is busy being published I wanted to send her to Old Navy where I know she can get stylish pieces and click right thru the site and have everything delivered to her door.
 
Style Notes:
A: Wear to the Airport! cosy and a sweater if the plane gets cool during the overnight- bring the sweater for when the plane gets cold at night. Layer two tanks if you will want to take them off so you feel more covered. Can add a scarf too!
B: Your dressy oufit! Even better if you can find a scarf with some bling! I love these shoes, they dress and "fun" things up!
C:Add your sweater from the plane over this outfit if it's chilly... or a scarf too.
D: I love this outfit for a day sight-seeing. Still pulled together enough for a meeting.
E: A little sassy and MUCH more interesting with a splash of color in that deep blue tank. If you go out at night, you can add a glitzy top underneath for more of an evening look.
I promise this sweater will become your new bf!
F I love the creme tiered top ! It's flattering and very classic. The bright pink sweater makes it fresh but it can be toned down worn under the airplane sweater.
G This is a comfortable but dressed up look. Put the bright pink sweater over it for some color.
H I love love love blues and pinks for a fresh combo with jeans
I ALL of these outfits go with this simple black ballet flats which are practical for a lot of walking or long days. Slip the off and on during lectures ;) This bag fits a laptop (not from Old Navy) and has outside compartments for your passport,cash, things you'll need to grab quickly.
Don't forget sunglasses and if you have some bracelets and necklaces that you love pack those. Otherwise I'd pick up either with black stones which will go with each piece :)

One weekend I was hanging out at home and got the sweetest email from a beautiful mom who wanted some help styling her upcoming family photos. We met for coffee and discussed wardrobe, make up, trends. They were doing urban shots at Mill City and then some lifestyle shots at home. Their home was turning 100 this year and she wanted some shots out in front with her adorable son. He is a hoot! Loves Titanic which I think is just too cool. We covered a lot of ground and put together some fun ideas. I told her I was going to put together a board for her and send it over. I went home, put my kiddos to bed but I just couldn't help feeling like there was more... I was so inspired by them. I kept seeing colors, old house, blue sky and trying to envision some fun things to do with this adorable family. 

It hit me: A birthday cake on the front porch! Balloons, vintage apron on mom. All these styled parties are the rage- let's throw one NOT to be outdone~ for the house!! So I sent her this inspiration board:

One of the things I love about styling and using these boards is how people use them. I have clients who have printed them and brought them to the store and I have clients who use them as a jumping off point and do their own thing totally and of course the in between. I send the board out and have to wait to see the photographs to know exactly what they ended up with- it's sweet agony I tell you  .*) I urge people to put their own spin on trends and to always be comfortable in what they chose no matter what. And you don't have to buy all new clothing!

Kari looks sophisticated (and sexy!!) just like we discussed and her outfit doesn't detract from the focus of the shoot- her and her "E-man" :) I can tell they have a blast together! E looks totally comfy-cool! Love his kicks !! She did a fantastic job coordinating them without it being totally obvious. Enough of the chit chat, here they are:
