So what is Pish Posh Style Anyway?

What is a stylist? And what is Pish Posh Styling?

Generally, photographers contact me to create an atmosphere or style for their clients before the day of their session. (I say generally because I've been blessed to be asked to participate in other capacities along the way as well!!)
Photographer provides me (Taci)  with their clients information and I contact them and then the magic begins as we scour the net to find all kinds of clothing, prop, location, makeup/hair options. The client is then armed and ready with options to go shop out the pieces we've discussed.
When people ask me what my typical style is I tell them that really doesn't matter much. really. My personal style is a little of everything but that's my own style based on my own look, my appearance and my personality. I style our clients based on THEIR own looks and their unique personality. This results in photographs that capture a persons N a t u r a l Essence. Ill-fitting clothing, colors that clash, etc are distracting and take so much away from the gorgeousness of the people in the portrait...Moreover, if a client can get real with me, tell me if there is something they are uncomfortable with, etc, I can help them round that out and move forward with a successful photo session (= less editing, Photographers!) And lets face it, it can be a little strange being photographed at first. Helping people dress up into their best selves will set the scene and produce beautiful, memorable images.

I love what I do, I get to help people shop and I get those super special "ins" on why they are choosing to photograph this moment in their lives and it's a really special an amazing privilege to do so. The photographers I work with feel this is an invaluable service and amazing way to offer their clients M O R E customized photography by providing them a complimentary style consultant to help pull together a great look.

I also share adorable little lovely things on my Facebook page.  I have fun giveaways and try to post helpful insight on what I like to call "attainable fashion". I don't suggest SUPER trendy styles that will go out of style in two minutes. I stick with comfortable, realistic items that people would not only purchase but where again after the shoot. I am a big fan of Pinterest and I create style boards constantly on Polyvore.com. One of the segments I have been getting a lot of greet feedback on is my "Style ME!" bit. It started with my neighbor then my dear friend and photographer boss, Amy and now I am sitting here waiting for someone else to say "Style ME!" cuz I totally will!!

You asked for it... "Style ME!" Please style me a cute outfit I can wear to work in a professional environment but could switch out my work pants for jeans and be a stylish mom. Go. Please?
