Lemme give ya a little tip ;)

I was emailing with this beauty, and we were talking about my job as a stylist (which I really really really love by the way) and I was rambling on (as you know I do) and I said "most people cannot identify their assets".
It kind of hit me that maybe that's what I love about the job.
I gave this a moments thought.
I do this constantly.
Do you know how when you go the dentist you are worrying that they are thinking and looking REALLY overly critically about your teeth.  Okay, well I tend to do that with people. Only not in a mean way. I think "I bet she has no idea she has really great legs" or "I bet he has no clue he has fantastic hair". Even with little ones, I try to stick to their natural coloring and assets to style them. If a little girl has fabulous eyes then choose a shirt or outfit that brings that out. If she has that awkward baby mullet, find her a sassy hat. Quite honestly, nobody has the entire package. I can think of maybe 2 people in this world that I would say just plain old got almost perfect genes and I'm guessing it was more that they rocked their assets and rounded out the rest. Even then, I bet you and I wouldn't agree on who those 2 people are.
I was telling Hayley, the hardest to dress is us moms. The baby pouch is just a natural part of the job but it's not just the extra tummy, my entire body changed when I had kids and we have to redefine our style a little bit but we still have assets to accentuate...
So that's the tip: Accentuate Assets. I challenge you to go to the mirror and just try to find 2 or 3 things that aren't pretty awesome. In high school, I was told by a makeup artist "I bet most people tell you that you have pretty eyes, right so you choose that as the focal point of your makeup". I said "well,...yes..." she said "you actually have perfect lips- u should use bolder lipstick"...hmmm...Interesting.

Anyway, I propose you post a picture on Fb for me and our Pish Posh crew and we'll tell YOU what your assets are!! It'll be fun!!
